Testing Ink Temperature for proper curing

Making sure your conveyor dryer is set at the proper temperature is crucial for your production. With a wide range of options available we are breaking down the 3 most popular units for temperature testing.

8-TEMP THERMOLABEL Sticker - from PaperThermometer is the most economical temperature tester in the market.

Thermolabel #8 is a temperature label that is equipped with temperature sensitive elements that produce a non-reversible white to black color change as it senses temperature. This provides a clear indication that the temperature has been reached. The temperature elements are enclosed and protected with a clear plastic overlay, providing both moisture protection and durability.

-Available: 16 labels/Pack
-Temperature Ranges: 290F to 360F
*If your label does not darken means your temperature is below 290F
-Note: Store in a cool, dry place.

Temperature Laser Gun

Measures the surface temperature of ink and/or t-shirt using an infrared laser pointer. Also, for checking the surface temperature on the plate of your Heat Press.

  • Measures temperatures from 0F to 716°F (-18°C to 380°C) with typical accuracy of +/- 2% - Fixed emissivity: 0.95

Note to user: Please note that a temperature gun "only" measures the surface temperature. For the most accurate results, a donut probe is highly recommended.

Atkins Temperature Probe with Donut sensor

This complete kit i ncludes controller, probe and extra wires) Accurately measure ink temperatures to set your curing temperature in your conveyor dryer. This unit not only checks for the surface temperature on your INK and T-SHIRT but will also tell you the temperature inside your heating chamber.

How to use the Atkins Thermo-Probe:

Instructions for Atkins ThermoProbe:

-Place the "ring" over an inked part of a garment with the cross-hairs wires down.
-Be sure the wires are actually touching the ink.
-Allow the garment and probe to be fed into the dryer along the conveyor belt.
-The temperature displayed by the thermometer reflects the rise in temperature of the ink as it moves through the dryer.
-When the temperature begins to quickly decline, the probe should now have exited the dryer.

Note to user:

-Unplug the probe and allow only the lead wire to follow the probe through the dryer.
-DO NOT ALLOW THE THERMOMETER TO GO THROUGH THE DRYER & DO NOT PULL RING BACK - this will damage the delicate cross-hair wires.
