WM Reflective Plastisol Inks

WM Reflective Plastisol Ink- designed for screen printing to provide a reflective effect that enhances visibility, especially in low-light conditions. These inks contain tiny glass, reflective beads suspended within the ink, allowing the printed design to reflect light. This makes them ideal for applications such as safety clothing, sportswear, workwear, and other garments that require high visibility.

Features of Reflective Plastisol Inks:

1. Visibility: Reflective inks improve the visibility of printed designs when exposed to light, making them essential for safety gear and outdoor wear. Light reflects White.
2. Flexibility: Reflective inks maintain flexibility after curing, meaning the prints will not crack or peel when stretched.
3. Printing Process: Reflective plastisol inks have a higher viscosity, and a low mesh count is required when printing.
4. Limited Colors: Reflective Silver is the only color shade available; it is not recommended to mix or add any color ink for that will diminish its reflective properties.

Applications:

• Safety and Workwear: Reflective ink is often used on uniforms, jackets, and other apparel for industries such as construction, roadwork, and emergency services.
• Sportswear: Reflective prints are common on athletic apparel for runners, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Considerations:

• Curing Process: reflective plastisol inks require longer curing time in the conveyor dryer to ensure proper curing to the fabric.
• Design Complexity: due to the viscosity of this ink, designs with finer details are not recommended.

Recommended fabrics: Cotton 100%, Polyester & other Blends

Squeegee: 70-75duro (Soft-Medium) Using strong pressure
Mesh: 86 thru 180ct (34 - 90t/cm) for best results use: 110ct Mesh
Curing Temp: 320F for 90 - 120secs

• Check your off-contact during set-up.
• Best reflectivity is obtained with a single pass, directly on to the fabric using 86-110ct MESH.
• Do not under base with White or any other ink.
• Reflective inks tend to deflect heat therefore slowdown your Belt speed.
• Do not extend or modify ink for it will decrease reflectivity.

• Always mix ink thoroughly prior to use. Keep lids on containers.
• Do not mix with any other inks or add reducer.
• Add 3060FF Nylon Catalyst @10% by weight when printing on Nylon.
• Shelf life: 6 months, Store in a cool dry area - Temp: 68 to 86F.

Important: Testing is recommended to assure adequate brightness and adhesion to your substrate.
